time consuming but quite simple.
u blend up ur coconut. juice it. dash weh di trash. den u boil di milk until all u left is oil and some stuff ( mi grow up know it as custard) at the botton. u cool it and den seperate the oil from the custard. u can eat di custard to..but no eat toomuch else it run u belly. as a kid i use to eat it just like dat... not sure i fi could stomach it now though.

Mi madda did mek some one time when daddy did buy piece a land wid whole heap a cocnut pan it, yu have to use di old ones weh well dry and she did use wood fire fi do it (gas dear) an it did tek long fi bwile out. an a mussie bout 500 coconut fi mek a quart of ile

no sah....12 dry coconut should yeild maybe 1/2 quart...maybe even one but yes it tek all day and all nite fi bwile.

mi grand fadda use to dweet pan wood cus it gas too dear fi true and mi an him siddung pan di back step fi hours mi nah leff till it done cus mi want di custard fi eat.

even easier if after yu blend di coconu. yu leave it to settle overnite..the creme will rise to the top , yu scoop off the creme of the top and boil only the creme ...till it turn oil and the custard settles on the bottom of the pot .. the oil is clear and beautiful..doesnt take long atall... pour off the oil and dash weh the custard at the bottom of the pot. Wen yu dweet this way , the custard is not consumable.
