Callaloo??

My husband says that Callaloo is the same thing as collard greens and to me they are in the same family but NOT the same thing..... what is the trut pleaz?? ty

i'd say not. collard greens are in the cabbage family, whereas callaloo is an amaranth.

Calaloo cook much faster than collards. Collards take awhile to tender up.

Definitely in the spinach family....

I didn't get offered that omelet in Negril. Maybe I finally found something productive to do with my can of Grace callaloo. I'm going to have to give this some thought because I never added anything canned to an omelet before.
