The liquid has a fishy smell to me. It doesn't stay with the noodles though once you rinse them off, but I found it unexpected. Let me put it like this, the liquid smells like it looks. I'd rather go head and substitute some spaghetti squash or something that does even attempt to pass for pasta except in appearance.

I tried them once last year, and the rice paper is not easy to work with in my estimation. I used left over rice, beans and veggies that I had and filled them with that.

They tasted great...but I ripped a few trying to get the perfect ones

Maybe these spring rolls won't get as much controversy as other topics! lol

it look goood!!! u know i dont see that white bean (fresh) in supermarket down here. I love green beans, but I find it annoying to go thru an cut di ends offa alla dem. When mi get di energy and dweet, and den garlic dem up :whoooooo. Even the amaller haricots verts dem dat spose to awrite, mi still clip off di end dem. I probly dont need to do that tho , but likle a good sheep, i showly do!

Sprat, they look good but like they are a lot of work. I guess not so much a lot of work, but a delicate task.

If you ripped some then I can imagine myself. That is why I asked above if they were easy to tear.

mi aggoh try jamaicanize dem. a certain smaddy love ackee and saltfish. mi a try fi figgah out if dem wuddan work cole wrap up eena rice paper or sitt'n else jamaican like red herring and tomattis cole. except with the tomattis uncooked.

Sprat. you need to use the special sticky rice and that little bamboo mat for rolling them. if you'[re using only veggies, the towel is fine. for some reason the sticky rice is a caution. also try the seeweed sheets and you'll be banging.

Sprat, the computer's only use is for googling. google how to make the california or any other rolls and you'll get a video tutorial.
