Happy Mother's Day....

That sounds delicious Queen... I sure wish we could get goat around here, we have to substitute lamb when we do ours.

Today we will be having our traditional Mother's Day meal.

Losters... it is the beginning of the season here in Eastern Canada. We serve them with corn on the cob, homemade potato salad and fresh rolls.

Can't wait...

mi had a taste for all ah what up top ah daht mi pick up. nuff fyah will bun tomorrow if something nice nu mek wid daht. ahn mi not cooking a ting eidah.

Queen, I would love to try the jicama slaw. All up until now, I have only seen it made on tv.

This is what we're having, but there won't be a mother in the house. Just some folks whose mothers live out of town like mine does.

Rice
Baked macaroni and cheese
Stuffed melaton (I think you may call it cho cho, chayote squash, or christophene)
Steamed cabbage with okra
Cornbread
Tossed salad
Store bought apple pie and vanilla ice cream
