the kind u cook with...

aside from the staples..olive/canola..do you use anything else? What and how?

I picked up some chili oil the other day and used it to roast some bell peppers..delish

I have some grapeseed oil in the pantry..not sure what to do with it yet

on the cooking show dem chatting bout basil oil..

I use coconut oil when making acki and codfish or if am making codfish with green tomatoes.

I am boring.. I use extra virgin olive oil on everything except salads when I use Walnut oil & vinegar

I don't use canola - I find it to processed.

I use olive, grape seed, ghee and coconut.

i'm always experimenting. i have the flax seed oil, but only pour it cold on things.

i have the chili oil, sesame oil<--rich body and if i see anything else interesting i buy it.

usually just use the corn oil or whatever is on sale when i run out.

I use Olive oil mainly for cooking, sometimes I use vegetable oil for baking... and I use coconut oil for browning a lot too

I love argan and pumpkin seed oil, I use it on salads. I especially like the pumpkin seed oil mixed with some honey and cider vinegar drizzled on salads.

I've never cooked with coconut oil before....why do you use it when cooking ackee n saltfish? Does it have a strong flavour?

I use coconut oil for almost all my cooking, frying, browning, etc....think it's much preferable, healthwise to corn or veg. oil. I don't find it to have a strong flavor at all.

If I'm cooking Italian pasta sauce or sauteeing onions &amp; garlic for soup (it brings out the flavor), I always use olive oil.....love the fragrance &amp; flavor when combined with garlic. I also use it to make salad dressing &amp; always buy extra virgin.

I use roasted sesame oil just for flavor,(not for sauteing) when I'm cooking many asian foods.

I like the flavour when used with codfish and green tomatoes just goes really well with it. matterfact ne type of fish

this is different (for me) never heard of either of them..I had to goggle Argan...sounds interesting

Ever since I was a little kid I have heard the old people in my family say you should never use basil oil if you are pregnant/ingest in any great quantity never asked why..

They also use basil oil on their skin for acne and scars. Well for acne and scars it works I have seen it first hand.
