Yes balsamic had some spinach and strawberry salad this weekend with some balsamic

I use the white vinegar to mop my tile floor

use to wash my son cross country and soccer clothes with the white vinegar too.

yes washing meat and housecleaning for the regular white one

and maybe a recipe where you dont want the vinegar to clash with other flavours

lol..nice one..

I don't mess with vinegar too much at home..i use white to clean fish and I like balsamic dressing on sandwiches and salads when dining out...oh yeah....me use brown vinegar to escoveitch

can it go go bad? I had some balsamic in my cupboard for yrs and when I finally got the cover off and used some on a sandwich I got a wicked headache..mebbe me use too much

I don't use vinegar but will dash some wine (any kind) on my meat as it sizzle.

Regular Vinegar - I use it for cleaning meat. Sometimes spray in the air to neutralize an odor in an area.

Red Wine Vinegar - My favorite for salads and I don't even care whether I have oil mixed with it or not.

White Balsamic Vinegar - I like the white much better than the regular one. I usually dash it in a stir fry and sometimes use it on salads or sandwiches.

Malt Vinegar - Exclusively used for a side dip with fried fish. Folks turn up they nose at me when I do it, but I don't care. You dip with what you want and let me dip with what I want lol.

Pepper Sauce - Somebody probably going to dispute me that this belongs on the list but it does. You know the bottle of vinegar filled with the green tabasco peppers? It's a must have condiment to sprinkle on collard greens after they are cooked and sometimes meat if I find it too bland.

I forgot about the rice wine vinegars I got on sale. One is garlic and the other plain. I don't know what I'm supposed to do with them, but I don't find the taste pleasant. I think they must supposed to be used in stir frys.

Here's a recipe for cucumber salad using rice vinegar....I've never used rice vinegar for my cuke salad, bu ALWAYS use dill (have no fresh but the dried seems to work as well)

After I made this dish last week, my 4-year old daughter requested “crunchy cucumbers” at every meal. Serve this light salad at this weekend’s July 4th cookout or bring it along on a summer picnic.

Ingredients:
15 Persian or Kirby cucumbers, thinly sliced (peeling optional)
1 tablespoon salt
1/3 red onion, thinly sliced
1/2 red bell pepper, thinly sliced
1/4 cup rice vinegar
2 tablespoons olive oil
Ground black pepper, to taste
4 sprigs dill, chopped

1) Persian cucumbers
These small cucumbers, similar to Kirby, work great in salads and don’t have many seeds. I like to keep the skin on to up the fiber (just wash the outside well); it also gives the dish a gorgeous green color. Cucumbers are an excellent source of vitamin K and a good source of the antioxidant vitamin C.

Lay cucumbers flat on a cookie tray lined with paper towels. Sprinkle with salt and let stand 1 hour. Squeeze one handful of cucumbers at a time and place squeezed cucumbers in medium bowl; discard squeezed juice.

2) Red Onion
Onion adds sharpness to the flavor mix, and the purplish onion color complements the green cucumbers. Onions are an excellent source of the antioxidant vitamin C and a good source of vitamin B-6.

3) Red Bell Pepper
The pepper give this dish sweetness and additional crunch. Did you know a red pepper has more vitamin C than an orange? It does, and the addition helps make this cucumber salad a vitamin C powerhouse!

Add peppers and onion to the cucumber bowl. Set aside.

4) Rice Vinegar
Rice vinegar is slightly milder than other vinegars and adds tangy flavor with few calories. You can find rice vinegar at your local grocery store or Asian market.

In a small bowl, slowly whisk oil into vinegar. Add pepper and whisk until evenly mixed. Pour vinegar mixture over cucumbers and stir to combine.

5) Dill
This herb works well with vinegar and is commonly used when brining dill pickles. Just a touch gives the dish a distinctly delicious freshness. Plus, it ups the antioxidants with vitamins A and C.

Sprinkle salad with dill. Refrigerate and serve cold.

I use white vinegar for washing meats, poultry & fish prior to cooking
and yes white vinegar for cleaning (tile floors & windows)

Balsamic vinegar various kinds for salad & seasonings. I even cook callaloo with it and soy sauce for a different kick

Apple cider vinegar for health

Rice wine vinegar for salads and asian style cooking.

I've always heard that soaking your feet in white vinegar will get rid of thickened toe nails, fungus and remove hard calluses of your feet.

I just googled it & you're right...it is an antifungal & can also be combined with baking soda (another antifungal) to make a cream to apply to any foot or nail fungus.

I worked with a lot of young male jocks ...so mi know it to be true .. as a remedy, its a lot cheaper dan dem creams to be bought at the drug store ..
