salt question

[jamaica_dreamin]

I bought unsalted butter by mistake. I'm using a half a cup of it in cream cheese frosting. I don't feel like running back to Publix.

How much salt should i had so it taste ok. I was thinking about 1/4 to 1/2 tsp.

well mix it together and taste it
cream cheese already have salt so u might not have to add any salt

My husband was the baker in the family and he always used unsalted butter. Hope this helps

i would just mix it up, taste it and add salt if needed...start if with a little sprinkle.

Thanks. That is what i did.

i bake starting with a mix. I have a book that all the recipes start with a cake mix.
