Since is 5 people we feed pon a regula our shopping trip is Costco, Wegmans and the Asian mawket where the chiney people dem shop about twice a month.

Costco fi the staples and Wegmans fi the rest. We have an extra fridge that stores the milk, eggs, we freeze the bread so is only fruits we go out and get during the week.

Let me clarify.. is mommy goat pon ar red scooter up to the supermarket fi buy fruits during the week and we nyam it off

I'm a cross between SandiF and DiabolicalT.

Like Sandi, I stock up in bulk or as things go on sale then just replenish as needed.

Like Tanya, I have a lot of perishables going bad in the fridge. Well, I used to but I've gotten better now. No matter what, I just buy a small quantity of whatever it is. The price per pound is more expensive but I still spend less in the end and waste less too. (I am still a major offender with fresh herbs though.)

Although I'm improving, the only things I have actually run out of thus far before they went bad were tomatoes, scallions, and avocados. But at least I don't have to throw as much out when I do.

Peasie, why do you buy kosher chicken?

I started buying kosher meats a while back mainly because they deliver to my door for no charge on Thursdays. It also doesn't hurt that I find their whole process more humane.

I will still purchase things they don't sell from elsewhere, but for most things I just have them deliver about once a month. Even if I am not home, they will leave it at my front door in a cooler. Love it!

LOL, Tanya struggling that hard with the canned goods?

I do stock up too when I see them on sale but don't really care for them that much so I try to buy exactly what I like and nothing I'm just straddling the fence about. Also, the new goes to the back of the cupboard and the old gets pushed to the front.

I must admit I was pretty darn happy to see those canned veggies, tomatoes, and what not smiling back at me last week lol.

because it tastes better - it doesn't have that 'fowl' smell. If I can't find it, I'll brine chicken - soak in cold salted water, then drain - before cooking it. I don't eat a lot of chicken.

I so agree that it tastes better, and I don't eat a whole lot of chicken either. I'm mostly a seafood type and I dearly love red meat next. Now that I've been playing around with lamb, I find it is going to get a ranking. It's nearly above chicken already and I'm not even that familiar with different prep methods.

After last night's &quot;escoveitch desire but not enough appropriate vinegar episode&quot;, I am planning to use the blank notepad with the magnetic back that is stuck to my fridge per Jazz and CB's method. I'm going to free up the brain space to remember something else.

I go to the grocery once a week (after I make the meal plan for the week)
we are members of a co-op, so we to that once a week as well.
di current mr ilp is friends with fish/chicken/meat people, so im work out that...but it seems like once a week im come in with something.

Nothing gets dash weh ova this side I juss not having it

Wegmans...once a month as a treat
BJ's once a quarter (with Hunter and BabygirlA who a dig out wi pockets )
Newspapers (ahn any store that running a deal)
Mi will even venture to Langley/Takoma Park when mi need to save $
