Anyhew...Friday mi haffi have dinner wid clients of di current mr ilp. Them specifically want to go to a place weh only serve alcohol that is "Irish". I DONT DRINK BEER, so that is out. I am thinking the place haffi do mix drinks. What mi can order in terms of mix drinks?

Whiskey Sour recipe

2 oz blended whiskey
juice of 1/2 lemons
1/2 tsp powdered sugar
1 cherry
1/2 slice lemon



Shake blended whiskey, juice of lemon, and powdered sugar with ice and strain into a whiskey sour glass. Decorate with the half-slice of lemon, top with the cherry, and serve.

Ingredients
1 1/2 ounces whiskey (or bourbon, Scotch, Canadian whiskey, or Irish whiskey)
4 ounces sour mix, recipe follows
Crushed ice
1 maraschino cherry

Directions
Combine the whiskey and sour mix in a large old-fashioned glass with ice. Stir, garnish with cherry, and serve.


Sour Mix:

1-ounce lemon juice

1-ounce sugar

2 ounces water

Combine lemon juice and sugar, then dilute with water and stir to dissolve sugar.

Yield: 4 ounces

Lemon juice and sugar, that makes sense. The drink is tart and sweet to me, I think that kind of goes with the mixers you said you liked.

Sweet Whisky mix......this is one of my alltime favourite.....do not know the exact measurement.....cannot bother google it but is a famous at the Irish pubs up here.



Scotch whisky
cherry brandy
sweet vermouth
orange juice, you decide how much orange juice u want depend on the strength of drink you want
orange slice for garnish

I then see them pour into shaker filled with ice, they shake, then pour and garnish with orange slice. I prefer my drink on the medium strength side (alcoholic) so less OJ
you can also opt for more cherry brandy or sweet vermouth depending on how sweet you want it.
