It's been like that since late last year....

Last month, i was fiendin for bullybeef mi drive out the whole a de city a search fah..

thank god for the 'panish store dem weh a tek ova...ended up finding couple tin a Grace bullybeef at nearly $5

I missed this post yesterday. I could be wrong about the brand name, but I thought there was one in a blue can by Hormel and it was just regular rectangular shaped corned beef. It wasn't hash.

I live in white-out too. Listening to you guys, I wonder if buying some corned beef is going to turn out to be a major project. They certainly used to sell enough of it raw for about $30 or by the slice for however much a pound in the deli.

I'll see when I go grocery shopping this weekend if I can find a can. I might try the south side of town but I don't know if that will make it easier or harder.

that is another canned product that I detest.....history and memories .....my entire Canadian family is Lilly white hood......is was not easy growing up with them.....dem think me have strange cuisine taste buds and I think dem taste buds wussa strange.....genes is a hell of a thing eh!!

You know it leans towards something that would make me gag. Everytime we prepare for a hurricane, it's one of the first things on the list as everything in tin gets bought. Once the power goes out and you been sitting there almost 24 hours listening to a battery operated radio, it gets a little more palatable. If you get the low fat ones and eat them with crackers, it's actually not so bad. The texture is a little firmer.

I couldn't stand the mushiness of them. I have eaten quite a few meat out of cans over the years and the only ones I completely can't stomach are spaghetti-o's, potted meat (this would mean mashed up vienna sausage), and beanie weenies. Whatever that smoked fish is they sell in a can (name escapes me right now) is one thing that is actually pretty tasty.

All that being said, I'm going to look for some corned beef this weekend. And I think I might be obliged to buy some cabbage too.

well i guess is pink salmon me haffe go deal wid, good ting me luvvv it to.....but cha man, once in a while a nice can a bully beef cook up wid some white rice, and some nice veggies like spinach or brocolli, yummm yummmm

kt, cause after all this, we naa go too waan mess wid it again, cha, dem juss a mash up man dinner, and u know say me still mek bully beef sandwich when we a go out pan outing, cha, lang ole kissteet

and we still do it, every summer, de whole family and church folks pack up for outing to beach, and all a we inna de coach bus, a pass round bully beef sandwich, saltfish fritters, fry dumplin, coffee inna thermos and dem tings deh till we reach beach and set up good, den we buss out de ackee or run down, fry chicken and jerk chicken, etc, woooeeee,

Auntie Ctry say it not soo a big Coach bus just to get to beach. Come in like mi cousin a cook up full meal fi go beach, while mi pack snacks, fruits &amp; drinks cause when we get hungry we just go home

Hereford, a it me see a pop up now, me never see it before inna me life, up to last night, me check inna me supkt, and none but dat one....no Libbys, no Grace, look like me haffe go rob Jazzy,

Kia, de beach we go deh waayyy up inna CT - Orchard Beach deh 5mins from me, but we dont go there,

usually beach is a all day ting, ppl a cook from the night before, we get up early, and bus a tek off all 8am, so u kno.....den when we reach dominoes, potato sack race, egg spoon and all dem tings deh haffe gwaan, real old jcan outing man....food a grill and have nuff cook food deh bout all over de place, sandwich cant hold we too long, u nuh kno dat
