well it's always about the kiddies so mi ask this one what she want me to cook get for breakfast/dinner (mi missing black cake but is for the best)

bacon
grapes
hot cocoa

chicken drumsticks
mashed potato
corn
brocoli
stuffing
(of course mi have leftover curry chicken, rice peas, plantain dat mi gwine eat cause mi nuh want nuh yankee food fi xmas)

and of course desert

ice cream
cinamon buns

dem decide dem not doing the traditional turkey an ham

so

dem a cook beef wellington

and me a cook salmon and stuffed pork tenderloin

no idea what the sides are \o/

guilty as charged. mi been pre-occupied and mi turn down dinner invites caw mi juss too tiyad fi deal wid di hassle. mi gwine either warm up leftover or tek up smaddy offer.

Well the girls are sick so we not going nowhere. Mi cousin hosting this year and she ask mi fi do BBQ pork ribs so mi keeping mi word and sending it over along wid a fruit platter.

For the household I am making fried chicken, mashed potatoes, broccoli and cheese, some kind of shrimp casserole and sliced pineapple Ham. Fi dessert dere is fruit cake, ice cream, and a nice tall glass of sorrel.

I am keeping it very simple this year. My son asked me to make him two things and that's all I am making.

Merry Christmas Everyone ...

I am keeping mine really simple this year, just the two a we ~ me and BwoyChild.

Yesterday lunch was really good Minestrone Soup (added water to a packet), and hot crusty biscuits (from frozen section) ~ we both loved it.

Last night was huge shrimp cocktail - and other hot mini bites (again - from frozen) - but they were good.

Today is a huge rustic beef stew in the oven (left overs for a couple days) ... easy as can be.

Tuesday, we travel to celebrate with the rest of my family ... and I am making a lovely Lobster Macaroni and Cheese ~ Ina Garten Style ~

what we ended up having

Brunch- saltfish with tomatoes &amp; onions, johnnycakes, eggs for the saltfish averse

Dinner: Mac &amp; Cheese with Farfale pasta, broccoli, apple cider for the kids

Desert- made brownies

love not having to cook....mi juss eat ahn leff when mi ready. My favourite....no cleanup

coffee, juice, fry dumpling, calaloo/saltfish, banana, eggs, tomatis, pineapple, harddough bread, tamales

skipped that...but snacks (veggie/frutas platter, dip, crackers, smoked salmon) were provided for those that wanted.
