Suggestions for places to eat in Toronto

I want to take David to a show and dinner in Toronto soon. I need suggestions. I don't want to spend more than $200 for the meal. I don't know what show we're going to see yet either so I can't say where in TO we'll be. Frankly I'd rather plan the evening around the restaurant...

oh yeah, he's prolly going to have steak...

It's been a minute since mi been up there, but the last time I was there I went to:
Hy's and Bardi's
We ended up at Bardi's (after previously eating at Hy's...great meal, too) as we really wanted to try Barberians, but one in our party didnt have a jacket. Hy's (which we had success with), was crowded...so we went to Bradi's. The meal was very, very good.

Them still open that's Hy's and Bardi's.

BTW: Mi meat.

Thanks ILP! Like the look of that 'steak dianne'.... think David would go for that... other than the sole, I don't see too much that I would go for though...

Looked at Hy's website. The Gorgonzola Filet Mignon looks like something he'd like, price is not bad either. As for me all they have for poultry is buttermilk fried chicken... don't like the sound of that... seafood, maybe.

Like the look of the place though...
