Expecting company so I'm making

Veal roll (from Silver Palate cookbook)
Baked cornish hens
Wild rice pilaf
Asparagus & sweet pepper sauté
Buttered baby carrots
Green salad with avocado

Dark dark chocolate brownies
Wine.

i see the mr cooking ting in crockpot. I will partake of whatever him cook....but that's much later (i think. maybe i will hungry after i wake up from my soon to be nap ) ...eating turkey samwich now.

I had vegetarian guests for dinner, one of the few Jamaicans we have managed to find in Mumbai and she doesn't eat meat - go figure... that was her clarification... I am not a vegetarian - i just don't eat meat (see my expression cause I thought that's what a vegetarian is - someone who doesn't eat meat? )
anyhoo I digress...

Vege Stew Peas
Callaloo
Fry Fish
Coconut Rice
Mac and cheese
Steamed Cabbage in Apricot reduction
Fry plantain

South African Malva Cake (we 1st had this in Dubai and hubby loved it so much I had to learn how to make it - it is delicious!)

maybe she mean is not a moral conviction..she will eat it if she have a choice..but if does have a choice then she doesn't.

I found 2 variations of it and sort of used elements from both and mek my own likkle version of it.

I must warn you - it is not for the faint hearted - you can add pounds just looking at this recipe

Yeah I think is something like that - she say she doesn't eat meat but if she get stew peas with beef in it - she will eat the stew peas...
but do most people turn vegetarians because of moral convictions or more because they think its a healthier lifestyle?

i think more people think is a healther lifestyle..but those that do it because of a moral conviction may get offended if u try to give them meat..and lecture u on u food choices

joke but their stance is stronger and dem might not want them food brush gainst nutten name meat.

No true meat eater will do that the cow and goat and chicken was raised for food there is no need to be humane and friendly with it. That's why all these ppl are shocking the animals before killing them which make them no drain properly. but I digress. My moral conviction as a meat eater is I wont pet a food.

i made:

beef (oven baked)
rice and peas
shrimp alfredo (wid veggies)
potato salad
green salad
toss salad


drinks is usally - carrot juice (wid guiness and sweet milk)
