Red Hills Shorty's Pan Chicken

I just came back from JA for Christmas, every year I get pan chicken from Shorty on Red Hills in Kingston, now I am sure he won't be giving away his recipe but anyone familiar with his chicken, do you know what he does?? it doesn't taste like he uses any allspice in the seasoning, but I'm not sure. I really want to try making some chicken this summer with at least a passing resemblance, so anyone with any clue, clue me in. again I'm not sure there;s any pimento in there, the taste is very different but I love it.
