The dinner was last evening. He arrived on the dot of 7. They had a 'taste of Jamaica' evening. He likes small plates just like my friend so they had little tastes of everything.

Food, people, we are talking about food

The food was terrific and he asked for some to take home.

They listened to music in the Corrinne Bailey Rae genre and talked about politics and international relations. He claimed that Heather Headley was Jamaican and, when he realized he was wrong about that, my friend was kind and forgave his ignorance ... through clenched teeth

Cake turned out very well. She followed Barefoot Contessa's recipe exactly adding a little pineapple rum to the syrup.
