I see the act as a necessary evil. If it must be done, the idea is to find the most effective and efficient way, and if this works then it is the right way.

What about people who communicate mostly by text?
My son's cell phone bill:
minutes used: 100
text messages: 2,000

It's weird to see him talking on his cell phone.

If breaking up ny a Dear John letter was OK, then text is just as OK. If a Dear John letter was wrong, then text is just as wrong. I regrettably say, it is just a sign of the times.
