So mi have lunch with a friend of mine tiddey.
Boy was she
She said her husband came home to let her know that he had accepted a new position in his company.

So mi ask har why she was mad.

She said that he came home and said that he was <span style="text-decoration: underline">offered</span> the position. So when she began discussing the pros/cons, ecetera, he said, &quot;Hey (ummmm....Lisa...yes, daht sound like a good name) Lisa, I wasn't telling you this because I need a sounding board, I was just telling you. I already told them yes.&quot;

She was mad because he made a career change/amendment without talking to her about it first.

was it a no brainer position ie career move such dat im didnt have to think twice about?

mi noh know.. personally mi woulda like fi have fi mi spouse discuss dem tings wid mi before de decision is made.

Ascarding to her, im seh di job

1. about the same amount of monetary compensation (he does have the potential to earn more in terms of commission)
2. about the same amount hours (my friend has lots of alone time)
3. he will have a staff (he will be responsible for a dept of 6 folks)
4. same company
5. another location (but commute time to new location is about the same)
6. gives him another opportunity to learn another aspect of the company
7. a change (im seh im need)

It sound like it was a lateral move, I would have been disappointed that he did not feel comfortable in discussing it prior and then take the time to evaluate the relationship to figure out why he didnt think it would have been appropriate to discuss it prior to making the move.

ack. their situation hasn't changed drastically. in fact it <span style="font-weight: bold">could</span> be way better. her outrage could be better placed. she just wants something to be upset about.
