Who is right?

My daughter had a friend over for the last few days.

On Saturday, I went to do my laundry in the basement and past her on her way up. She saw me with the "bundle" and ask if she could throw in a couple pieces so I said...well, sure, as long as it is the same color scheme.

Anyhoo, when I went back to transfer the clothes to the dryer, I noticed the pieces she added were underwears...g-strings and all.

At first I was shocked, then angry.

I pulled my daughter to the side and told her off for not telling her friend that it was not allowed, since I didn't know what else to do at the moment.

My daughter thought it wasn't a big deal (although she would have not done it) and that I was "acting old-fashioned".

Any thoughts? What would you have done?

i don't think you're being old fashion. i don't think there's anything shameful bout ooman underwear that they need to be censored and washed in the middle of the night with no men present, or that there's anything wrong with hanging them on a clothes line.

BUT, i would think that a sense of personal *uhm* gad mi noh want fi seh shame, but some sawt of modesty would have prevented her from flinging her ish stained butt flosses in with a stranger's laundry like seh is nott'n. but is a diffrant generation dis.

firs of all- yuh shoulda offer she di wash machine when yuh did done yuh load. so if she too lazy tuh hanwash har baggy jrawz, then all yu had tu doo when she done, wipe out your machine wid DETTOL..

Thank you. I told my daughter off to keep from slapping the spit from that girl's mouth because of how angry it made me. What is it with these classless girls these days? What have they been taught by their parents? Where is the sense in that?

I know it has nothing to do with being &quot;old&quot;. It has everything to do with shame, dignity and class. I would have never thought of putting my used undies in my own wash, much less.

It really made my skin crawl. When I asked my daughter if she would have done that, she looked repulsed, yet trying to defend her friend. That is just madness in my opinion. I did wash my clothes (WITHOUT HER TINGS) a second time just to be sure.

I don't know anyone who would allow dutty baggies being washed with their clothes, but, then again, my circle is very specific and tight, and since I am <span style="font-weight: bold">extreme</span>ly cerebral about who comes and goes in my home...
