She was walking down the sidewalk with a girlfriend, He was walking the opposite direction. As they passed she smiled and he smiled back but she kept on walking.
She looked back and he was still staring and still smiling. He asked her to wait and he approached her.

Lawks Gen shi neva seh di accent sick har...is juss sumting shi not used to....and they tried speaking french but that was even worse than English because she speaks Newfie french.
