Have a friend who is like that and the woman isn't even his wife.

Don't know how he does it. He's always telling me how she constantly threatening to break his windows, puncture his car, kill his dog and make life living hell for him. The house is his and he can't get her out.... She calls him on the dot every day at 4pm to know his whereabouts. One time mi inna him office and his phone rang and I heard the woman on the other end of the line asking in the most demanding tone, &quot;where are you? what time are you leaving? be here by so and so...&quot; He shook his head and whispered to me 'never fails'.

One day I told him that's what he enjoys, for her to control him. He got angry at me. Another time I asked him wha mek him cannot get her out.... he said she's always threatening. Then on top of it, he tells her his whereabouts, etc. This is a someone whom I thought would've had more sense. And he claims how much he hates her.

Some people love the drama and want to be controlled... probably set some structure to their life. Love can be strange.

that is a clear case of emotional abuse/domestic emotional violence. funny enough if it were a woman we would see through that clearly and start offering her places to go for support etc.. Men are abused too and he needs to contact the domestic violence line and talk to someone. About 10% of all DV cases are men being abused by their (female) spouses.

yeah, hes under heavy mannas.
he has to lie to his wife about his work schedule even, like say he working on a off day just to go do things he wanna do

his wife doesnt like any of his friends and tells him he not allowed to hang out with them, she even seperate him and his brother cuz she dont like him for no reason.
she very insecure and controlling.

I see them from time and the only thing I can think is that they shop in expensive stores. Hope they get quality goods...and that it's not just the illusion of the expense
