While in College I became friends with a girl who was in the same theatre program I was. We hit it off instantly and became close friends almost immediately. It was a very easy going friendship.
After college we ended up loosing contact.
I was travling all the time and somewhere in there the friendship sort of fell apart.
In 2003 when Red and I bought our house together I was outside walking when I ran smack into her.
She lived one street over. It wasn't like we ever lived near one another. In fact we were living in a different county than where we went to college. We both ended up in the same town, same community, one street away from one another.
Fate?
Then Red and I moved to Miami and my friend and I sort of lost touch again. While I was in Miami she moved to southern part of MD while I moved towards the north when Red and I returned from Miami. We had spoken a few times but now she lives about 2 hours away from me so we haven't seen each other in a long time.
Recently I was walking around the office building when I ran smack into her AGAIN! I have only been there a few months and she only just started and usually works as a remote employee...we had no idea where each other worked or that we were working for the same large company.
Fate?
Then to top it off, she was at my house for lunch the other day and was going through some old photos when we found this:
She saw the photo first and asked why I had her nursery school photo. Perplexed we each put a hand on the photo and scanned it. I realized I was in the photo and pointed myself out to her. She turned to me and asked who I thought was sitting next to me.
