Hate

[dr. bones]

So I just had a patient telling me about her bi-polar husband who got them into $200,000 debt, her daughter who thinks mom let dad molest her and use her in satanic rituals (she has a yoga healer instead of a psychiatrist and claims to have had a vision), and how she herself was abused as a child (says 2nd grade teacher made her clean up her vomit when she was sick and her hatred scarred her into adulthood). So this patient is angry, but trying not to focus on hate, and move on w/ life.

I think hate is like swallowing poison and waiting for the other person to die. Better to let it go and be happy. But, maybe revenge is a dish best served cold. Lots of cliche's, but what do you think?

i think you need to be reported to The American Medical Association for not being respectful of the Doctor/patient priveledge

but in this cause Doc didn't reveal the patient's name, gender , etc...does it still qualifies as doctor/patient privacy?

u know i thought di said ting...even widdout using names , a 'doctor' who wi divulge a patient's situation does him/herself a disservice...afta all it mek u tink him use it as dinner party convo an gawd help wat happen unda likka influence mek u think dont it someone in di circle mite juss recognise the 'situations' depicted

Dr Bones, do you think given what they have spilled to you above that the person really is trying to move forward with their life?

Sounds like she needs so serious help...if what she says is true then she needs somebody more than a yoga instructor to help her....if it <span style="font-weight: bold">isnt </span>true then she needs somebody more than a yoga instructor to help her

I would go ahead and double the price, pretend to be her psychiatrist and tell her to take a flying leap. It all look pretty hopeless to me.

This is a post about anger, so I am going to try to control mine, but gheesh, I can see why people don't want to post on this board. Do you think that I know so little about my state board licensure or HIPPA that I would post something on here that would jeopardize my career or livelihood? Have you ever read case studies? Information is changed so there is no way that the patient can be identified, thereby no doctor/patient privilege is broken. And why do you put 'doctor' in quotes like that?

My sparkling personality keeps fellow dinner guests entertained so that I don't have to resort to telling stories about patients. Plus under the influence of likka, I use a bar name, so I could never violate anyone's privacy, including my own

Disclaimer intact , so to answer your question she is trying to move forward and let go of the hate. She can forgive, but not forget. She has a psychiatrist and a good pastor, her daughter is the one w/ the yoga guide who helps her w/ past life regression.

but star u post it an it suppose fi get reaction..so mine is one dat u dont like but it is still valid...and di way oonoo gwane like oonoo know oonoo one anodda rung yah off di board, it is a valid reaction...an mi put doctor in quotation cause dis is cyberspace...and mi still a read bout di indian 'doctor' dem arress a yaad fi practise widdout credentials.

I don't mind differing opinions, but it felt like you were questioning my integrity and my sensibilities and that rubs me the wrong way. I care deeply about my practices and my patients and would never jeopardize either. I have valid credentials that I earned and wouldn't risk them to get a reaction on the net.

ohhh. I read the post too fast b/c I was trying to work and iggle at the same time It just seemed to me that because she is chatting so much about the past that she may still be stuck in it.

So, your question is an universal one regarding ppl holding onto hate......I agree with her that she can eventually forgive but that has nothing to do with forgetting. Ppl think the two need to go hand in hand and I completely disagree.
