The second one wanted to get married after
#1 went home to glory...
but...
some women had a habit of flinging themselves at 2
and
I just could not see me having to
face a third alliance
so I said 'no' to number two...
because when all was said and done...
number one had been good...
very good...
gregarious...provider...philosopher...
soothing...caring...encouraging...
and had showm me a good time.
Number two is still around
but...in a better role
as an associate...
and
for me
that's all good.

i would think long and hard before doing it a second time.

doubt that i would do it a third...(unless maybe there's some practical reason- as well as the love and all dat)

nope. my first marriage was a sham, he was a liar and a user who made no effort at understanding the other party, only went thru his life doing what he wanted, no regard to the other person in the relationship. in retrospect, i do think it wasn't 'conscious' on his part, just clueless. he had no clue that more than just himself was involved, and therefore both parties thoughts, feelings, and motivations count, and taht meant he had to actually deal with, and consider, another person. he just ignored anything outside himself.

It taught me that no matter how much one person tries and believes, if the other person has no interest and takes no action, there's no 'relationship', cause there is no 'relating'.

i learned a lot from it. and yes i'd consider marrying again, but it's not an overriding goal. if the right person and right circumstances converged i don't have any bad juju prohibiting me! what i do have is more knoweldge and experience now though, which i hope would guide me in my farward movements.
