i called up a really good friend...we gu back to college..to tell har some really good news..awfta she hear de news..she seh.."I'm on the the other line..I'll call yu back"..two months later an she neva call back..dang

i think I knoe what the issue is..but I'm soo disappointed..we've always been there for each other in the bad times...y can't we celebrate the good as well

So what you saying really that she is jealous of your good news?

Friends lives quite often move in different directions from what they start out as, especially if you have been long time friends. Life changes and so do people.

I know this friend that if she is going thru a rough period in her life, she cant really take other people good news, she kinds of feels like they are rubbing things in her face. She is narcasstic thinks everything revolves around her. Just the way she stay!

Two things come to mind:

a) people are so into themselves nowadays, more than ever, that she really might not have the time to call you for a chat...not realizing that the call may just be that bit of invigoration she needs...

and

b) not all people have social skills that would dictate a comment such as, &quot;I am working on a project right now girlfriend, but I'll get to you as soon as it's over...&quot;

It's sad but that's just how some folks roll...

My thing is with any friend. if mi and u nuh talk fi bout a month...your number is gone from my phone. if i link you and u nuh link mi back till when o when....dont link mi at all as we done.

mi have some friends who I don;t talk to for months - but when we pick up the phone is like we jus hang up de phone yessideh... we realize that we are busy and jus becaws mi uh call yuh every day nuh mena seh mi nuh love yuh - plus mi is nat a phone person - mi qwicka fe sen an email...

Den mi have wan particular fren if mi nuh talk to har every day she ketch feelings...

since mi know ah so she stay and I do value her friendship - I try to make a point o call her at least once a day = or she call me...

HOWEVER&gt;&gt;&gt; if I was busy and friend called me with good news - I would DEFNITELY call back - even fi mi nuh memba dat day (caws mi good fe dat) - btu at least the next day... or week...

sounds like a jealousy issue... u may just have to put that one to the side - or move dem to the acquaintance category.

but in order to mek a real good assesment - u have to tell mi what de news was - and i'll tell you if it was bad mine ah kill har...

because I'm probably one of her closest friends..an in all these years she's never mentioned anyone..an when me ask har out right she sey nutten naw gwan..at one point she said we'd be old maids together..I was like speak for yourself me notice when I'm dating someone she acts like its not happenning..

as fe de good news..I had it pretty rough time from late last year to earlier this year...but since den lets juss sey good luck won't leave me alone..
