actually the video makes perfect sense. The point is she switched places with her man for one day and acted out how he behaves towards her: ignoring her in the morning after she done cook him a nice breakfast; being out at club grinding on his partner in front of their friends while she is at work looking to buy him a nice present....you cant see that??? Flip the script and the video and words will make a little more sense.
Kinda like trading places for only one day.
Kate Bush's song "Running up that Hill' is the same premise except for it is a positive spin on being in love. In the song, the woman wants the man to switch places with her so that he can see and feel just how deeply she loves him.

I consider myself partway schooled But I still disagree Where was he unfaithful? There may be the beginnings of an affair, or sexual tension, but I didnt see proof of it moving to the physical (they both said, What- I'm not sleeping with him/her).
The strain after she made breakfast could be from any number of things His hanging out after work could be because she's too focused on career, so he's left to boredom at home, or after work happy hour, where females also hang out. The gift he/she wore because it was given for that purpose- if he/she didnt wear it, the other might think- you dont like it?
Maybe she should hang out more instead of spending so much energy working to buy the tokens of love
