And now it is too late, the moment passed and you just have to hope an pray you get the opportunity again. But even if you do, you still not sure you would say it...for whatever reason?

Sometimes we miss the perfect cue to say 'that right thing', but isnt there always the chance to let the other person in on that right thought? If it is that there will never be another right time to say that right thing, then maybe it wasnt right in the first place?
