Why is it that <span style="font-style: italic">some </span>short men are so loud and obnoxious?

Yesterday I'm walking towards my building and heard someone speaking so loudly. Sadly I did sterotype and said to myself that the person must be short. Lo and behold, he was. The shortest one in the bunch yet he had the loudest mouth. Why is that?
