It often said that men and women cheat for different reason. Men mostly cheat for physical reasons which is often spontaneous and short term whilst women mostly cheat for emotional or financial reason which is often long term and well thought out.

Society has typically made labelled cheating by women as worse. I think part of the reason is that it is expected from men but not from women. Also the reasons you mention above for women cheating goes to the heart of a man's ego. If it is financial then it seems he is not "man enough" to support her. If it "emotional" that means he lost her mind. In my opinion cheating on both sides means there was a breakdown in the communication in the relationship somewhere.
