To many love is just an emotion or feeling. When that feeling is gone or they don't get what they expected from a relationship they are gone. Love is not just a feeling but a commitment. The world says if my expectations are not met then divorce...so it is about ME rather than WE.Out of Many One People Online

Scenario 1: People see red flags during courtship but get to the point that they think they will never find the right person so they settle. Women are guilty of this.
Scenario 2: Men are guilty of picking who to date and married based on the only part of the total package that is guaranteed to change....the external.
Scenario 3: Because people hook up out of lust not love. They spend too much time during the courtship
rather than really assessing their compatibility.

Yes, true love does truly exist.
I would say that is the case for a small number of people. They find someone who the can mesh with and who meshes with them very well and the chemistry, physical attraction, values, outlook on life etc... is all very compatible.
A larger number of folks are generally fond of each other enough to form a relationship and begin a family, they love each other in a way that they become comfortable with one another but not really and truly "in love" with each other. Once children enter the picture they stay together mostly for the kids sake and of a fear of ending up alone.
