Say you've met the person who's perfect for you in every way, except s/he does not like your pets. This perfect smaddy tried initially to make it work wid you, dem an de pets, but it's just not happening.

What would you do?

Oh yeah, de smaddy no have allergies or nutn, dem just cyaa stan yuh furry fren dem.

guess it boil down to who u love more. can the pet be banned from certain part of the home etc that mite help. I could live wid puss/dog a farrin but mi woulda have to draw di line eg main floor only. cyan tek di jump inna mi bed ting.

all the non pet loving partner affi is bide dem time an one day wen dem one at home mek di puss run weh by accident. or mek di dog nyam some sponge i didnt say that.

Bwoy Vegas, you've hit so many nail pon de head its eerie...

Here's the situ:

My coworker has had two kittens since they were babies. Always coming into work and gushing about what hi-jinks they've been up to and blah blah.

Earlier this year she met some guy who she's completely mad over. Dude does not like her cats. However, he did not say so, just his actions have kinda spoke for him.

First she went home one day to find one of the kittens rather lethargic and puking a little. He told her that he'd given the cat a shampoo and then conditioned it.

She was upset and told him that he couldn't do that. She had special bath supplies for the cat and that human shampoo was not fi dem.

Two days later she got home to find that the cat appeared to be near dead. Freaked out rushed the cat to the hospital etc. The whole thing cost her $600. He told her that the cat had been looking dirty so he'd again shampooed and conditioned it. Afta a likkle awgiment where she told him not to touch the cats, he paid the hospital bill and tings sekkle dung.

About two weeks later, he called while she was at work to tell her that the same cat was missing. He'd been making breakfast and accidentally left the screen door ajar and the cat went out. She was freaking out so I sent her home. She said as soon as she got home and called the cat came in from the hedges. She said both cats were avoiding him.

About two weeks afta dat, de same cat went missing. She's bawling har yeyes out, putting up posters everywhere and blah blah. Dude is helping her to look for the cat.

We asked her if she didn't think that it was curious that there had never been an issue with the cats getting injured or going missing till he's entered the picture. She said she'd thought about that but kinda shrugged it off.

Time passed and the cat was never found. Her hysterics lessened and she seemed to return to her old self. Still happy with dude.

One day she came into work and told another coworker that she'd noticed the remaining cat walking like it was drunk. It kept staggering about and crashing into things and falling over. When she called up another pet owner friend, in hysterics, her new dude admitted that he'd 'punched' the cat in the head cause it had hissed at him.

The people in the know (she's stopped telling me stuff about her cat situation cuz I guess she didn't like my responses?) told her the cat was probably concussed and that dude was being abusive and he should be dismissed. She said they were right and that she would definitely kick him to the curb.

When they asked for follow-up, she prevaricated, till they got the message and stopped asking. All the while though, she was gushing about how great dude is to and for her.

Then one night she called up a friend and said that the cat was missing. Apparently it had escaped during the night and she didn't know what to do. Apparently dude had left a door open? or supm like dat. When she'd got up the morning, the doors were not open, neither were the windows. But the cat was gone.

She was miserable and despondent for a while. However she will not discuss it with us and thinks that we don't know that she's now lost both her cats.

Yes, she's chosen 'new love' over her pets. But it gives me a itchy feeling between my shoulder blades - the way the whole thing's gone down.

He hates cats and he chose to aggressively get rid of them. Then he appeared passive to her.

She should get the hail out of this situation

How come he is in her home when she is at work?

Further more ... if anyone cannot sit down and reasonably talk to someone they care about regarding dislike for pets, etc. then it is more than about the pet.

I think that this is not a situation of choosing new love over pets. This is a situation of someone who chooses to be blinded by facts.

I think he's killed the cats. And I think he was helping in the search for the first cat knowing he'd killed the damned thing.

Because I'm not supposed to know, I haven't said anything to her... but someone else did. They said that he'd likely killed the cats. She's stopped talking to that person.

So yes, she's not only chosen him over her pets but she's choosing to be blinded as well...

At one point after second cat got punched in the head, she said that she'd asked him to stay away from her place when she wasn't there.

But then next thing we heard, they were all lovey-lovey at her place and she was anxious to get home cause he was making her dinner at her place...

Then nex cat went MIA...

Little things that she says makes me realize just how possessive and jealous dude is. She thinks it's cute and adorable. She does not see it as the volatile cocktail that it is...

When someone abuses pets like that it is a matter of time before they start abusing her. She is seeing all the warning signs and missing it. Maybe when u have office banter unno can talk in her presence about lifetime shows wid how the charming man dem get possessive and remove all dat dem love till dem control the woman.
