A woman is threatening to take legal action against her former boyfriend who left her for one of her relatives.
She explained that she and her former boyfriend had a wonderful relationship which lasted for five years and she took very good care of him.
"When I met my former lover, he was not working and I decided to try with him because I figured that after a few months he would be able to find a job. He told me used to work as a welder but he was laid off from his job.
<span style="font-weight: bold">"I am a nurse <span style="font-style: italic">and just to make sure he was comfortable I worked overtime almost every week</span>.</span>

He used to live with me at my house in St Catherine and every month I gave him money to send for his mother in the country.
"We never had a quarrel and to my shock and surprise I came home one evening from work to discover that he had taken all of his personal belongings and left. I made enquires and found out that he had gone to live with one of my cousins in Manchester. <span style="font-weight: bold">My cousin's husband died last year and left her a large sum of money and properties</span>.
"I went to Manchester where I saw both of them and had a long discussion with them. I told my cousin that my former lover was a very ungrateful person and she should remember that the "same knife that stick sheep will stick goat".
"Right now I am still hurt and broken-hearted because I really loved him. Do you think I could sue him to recover all the money I spent on him?
There was no oral or written agreement between you and your former boyfriend that he would have to repay you for all the money you spent on him while he was living with you. If you sue him, you will not be successful. You will have to bear in mind that you supported and cared for him of your own free will.
