so let's say u have a friend weh married couple yrs now ..

all dis time dem a pop style pon u an everybody else bout 'my husband dis and my husband dat, we have house and car and ra ray..the most perfect marriage in the world, etc'...yuh would think dem did married to the pope.

dem dash weh dem friends fi de man...the perfect world ain't so perfect no more, dem seperated and on the way to divorce.

that friend all of a sudden start call back an ting...she hasn't admitted dat shi had to leave de man an car an house an a kotch wid har bredda, but you know this because the brother and SIL told you and a couple of her 'friends'.

Would you confront the friend, don't say anything & continue tek har calls til she ready fi chat, laugh after har mash up yaad weh shi always a fling inna unu face, something else?

btw yu eva notice seh ppl who gwaan like dem union perfect and harmonious are always the ones who break up? Dats why mi believe inna di talk it out fight it out ting...

the ones who idealized the marriage are likely the ones most devastated, humiliated and ashamed when the fantasy fails - and the ones most in need of non-judgmental support to help them through it. bizi, u fi know if u can bring uself to offer that kind of support to the person.

nobody deserves heartache, really.

dem shame enough already and calling you (even though they may not mention the breakup) may be their way of trying to reconnect and figure things out.

i am sure once they feel comfortable, they will open up about it. afterall they were married and just because it mashup now doesnt mean that that part of their life will disappear....they did live it. it is now a part of them.

give them time.

if you're resentful of her for her past behaviour, don't take her calls, just tell her you're busy or something. if you feel deep down that you were <span style="font-weight: bold">real</span> friends be there for her until the next perfect relationship.

we are all called for something, maybe it is your call to deal with and help this person through their grief. Come out and tell her you know it all already and give her the chance to come forward or leave you alone.

this is how i see it cause it sounds like you dont rate her as a friend in the first place.
She could have been really happy when she did chat about her marriage before and then is now devasted that things fell apart and is embarassed. But if you feel she chatted like she did only to put others down with what she had at the time, then why bother with the woman? Leave her to her outcome. But if she was a friend to you then give her the room to come eventually say something to you. Not everyone wants to spill the dark corners of their lives just so. She could still be processing her hurt and cant bring herself to talk things yet.
