Well if the sign says 2lbs of Strawberries for $2 then I would have done the same thing you did.

If however, they were packaged and somehow sealed and the sign said 2 packages for $2 then I could see their being a problem with people breaking open a sealed package and exchanging strawberries from package to package.

I even pick thru the grapes and pick the yukky ones off the stem.

Swine flu? Same nasty dirty hands that pick over the peppers, onions, garlic, tomatoes, apples. Wash the fruit, veggies like always. What's the difference?

skells since is gardening time now just grow some strawberries and den you can have them to your hearts delight

in the meantime I dont think I would be brave enough to pick out but I would give it a thorough inspection to get the best pack

That is disgusting.

This is why me always say it is not the <span style="font-weight: bold">pre-pickers</span> people must watch out for (since them being supervised on the job) but its the <span style="font-weight: bold">post-pickers</span>, cause who knows where them hands have been?

Buying rotten bananas is dumb but me no appreciate someone picking over the fruits that have no protective cover like 'berries etc, unless it gets thrown in the garbage.

Just like me wouldn't want to eat something someone put them dirty hands on, me no do it to some unsuspecting potential victim.

oh dear...what doooo you ever do at the fruit stall when ppl feel feel up di fruit?

dat is why it is important to wash your fruits carefully before you eat them, something I ALWAYS do!
