Why do people forget

My cousin is getting married this fall, she is 40 and he is 56. When I was 22, I was engaged to a 32 year old guy which the family had a field day with. I did recall the "too old" statement.

I didn't end up marrying him but I did marry years later.I didn't get a card nor gift from this cousin. She has already made plans to keep her condo in case it doesn't work out. Why get married in the first place, if you feel this way. Honestly I don't even feel like attending. He looks older than her actual father.

22 and 32 is much different in terms of emotional maturity as compared to a 40 and 56. wish her luck, but don't go if you don't want to.

yes..i dont think that any 22 year old should be getting married.

and she keeping her condo..because she older and jaded, and doan know if there's a happily ever after...but she giving it a try.

there seems to be more to this?? why didnt she give u a card or a present??

i think you should go, and put any bad feelings behind u, life is too short,

and...if she wants to keep her condo, i dont blame her, these days u haffe tink wid both ur heart and ur head~~

We all &quot;cousins&quot; were close. She has distanced herself from everybody, if I didn't get invited it wouldn't be a big deal.

Let me ask you this

does it bother you that you did not get a gift?
If she got you a gift would you want to give her a gift for her wedding or would you feel that you have to give her a gift

Not giving a gift or card is one thing, the other thing is as I have said before she&quot;s not in contact with me at all. Her mother keeps trying to shove this ole big bellied short goat of a man down my throat.

The only reason I ran into her was because our other cousin is really sick and in the hospital.

lol One of my cousins said we should still go, eat up the food dance and not take any gift.
