i'm all for a likkle introspection,overthinking and deeper understanding..but can you really "fix" every thing yu tink wrong in a yu life.. </div></div>Some people need therapy for life to maintain balacne. Or they may have to use some other form of intervention or resort to drugs.

me an mi cuz was talkin bout dis today yu nuh..some ppl really can't live with themselves so all di issues dem have wid demself spill over into every other relationship dem have...work...marriage...family...friends ...those r the ppl dat will forever be in therapy.....cah dem have no coping mechanism and don't know how to deal...

Of course yuh cannot fix everything in yuh life..

Sometimes one needs to re-examine what is troubling them and might come to the realisation that what they thought was "so" was in their minds...it wasn't and all that anguish/worry fi nutt'n.

some things like family wiped out by murderer and some dread sintings wi tek time to resolve, if ever at all.

The sad thing is, dem wi bring dese tings innah dem marriage and di poor spouse whey nain know bout it...faawt.

mebbe the therapist is like a best friend with voice of reason benefits she may not feel comfortable bearing with her non therapist friends? The one she can just say what she feels and knows no hard feelings a come from it?

Kia..yep...non-judgemental/objective feedback and alla dat..but IMO (and she agreed) the therapist should not be a life long habit..she say she haffi gu to another therapist to start the weaning process cause she don't tink its going to happen wit this one

well in dis instance..the spouse has been convinced that him need fixing to..he's going to start therapy on his own..lol

its important to understand the whys..but den sometimes yu juss haffi seh a so de ting set an live your life.

The therapy thing can become pure addiction.

My college roommate got stood up at the alter 10 years ago and since then she has been going to therapy. Even when she lost her job and had no health insurance, she had to find the money for therapy.

She was like a crackhead with going and did everything she could to recruit family members and friends, because as far as she was concerned, them were all "dysfunctional".
