I agree. Friends should be there for you and inspire you whoever you are and what you do.
If not, they are not *real* friends.

Having said that, not all friendships are for life, some are just for a process you and they are going thru. When it's over, it's over. Time to move on.

Anyway, my take on it is, all friends start off as strangers......
