You people can sat ther and talk. I grow up in Indian community and when the whole family decide, if you fight they kill you and disappear the body. It is no different from the honour killing anywhere else that share similar culture. They keep that secret in the family and even go to prison with it.
I would suppose that both of them have been on the giving end if such an exchange before. So They know the drill.
