Your advice please.

Mark and Pam grew up in the same small town but Pam moved away at age 13.

They found each other on Facebook two years ago and started corresponding.

Pam went to visit Mark and "boy, sigh, has he changed". After their meeting, she returned home with a pep in her step and a song in her heart, and he told her that he felt the same about her.

They've been dating since and two weeks ago Mark asked Pam to marry him.

Pam was elated...until she shared the news with her dying 84 year old grandmother, who told her in a weak voice, not marry him, because of the family secret.

Mark and Pam are related through a family fling, but no one knows about it but she and Mark's grandmother who has died.

Mark's father has also died and his mother is not involved in his life, as he was raised by his grandmother and his father.

Pam hasn't stopped crying since. She wants to marry the man she loves, but might have to wait until grandma is gone.

She is besides herself with anger, grief and worry. She has decided not to tell the Mark and wait it out...

What advice would you give her?

Yuh know some distant family members no really feel like family ... now thank God mi never meet none of them yet that mi would consider.

me personally..no.

However, i answered your question meaning yes, <span style="font-weight: bold">there would be a difference </span>with someone being involved with their cousin as opposed to their brother.
if she wanted to marry her cousin, esp since it would be a &quot;half- cousin&quot; ( children of half-siblings) that she didn't grow up with as knowing to be family...then is entirely up to her.


if she married her half-brother that would be not only illegal (i think) but much more problematic in terms of genetics if they chose to have children
