Unnu mussi a wonda a weh mi deh how long but mi did just tek weh miself momentarily fi go rejuvenate mi fluff and come back. Now dat mi back in full effect, yuh know seh a time fi mi talk up di tings dem. Mi come back come hear some news weh literally grieve mi heart as it relates to the way di Jamaican man dem a treat the women. It would appear as if the love and respect for women is on a steady path of decay as the atrocities a get from bad to worse; some even a seh it get worsara!
Mi hear 'bout a situation weh a man savagely kill him woman because she decide fi leave him and him battering. He decided if she wasn't going to be with him, then she wasn't gonna be breathing long enough to be with anybody else. After his demonic escapade which claimed her life, him a seh him sorry. Now sorry good enough fi tings like when people step pon yuh toe or you late fi a meeting but to take somebody's life and then a cry sorry, that is just not good enough. Why is it when a woman wants to end a relationship it can't be done? Yet when a man seh it over an done wid, wi coulda bawl blood him gone 'bout him business an we jus haffi accept it. Mi neva know seh women still inna slavery, after all the years it has been abolished, to the point where we can't decide who we want to share our body and love with without it potentially costing us our lives?!

Some men do not extend common courtesy or respect to women and words in their vernacular attest to this ..."Bwoy yuh waah see mi get piece a meat last night an mi kill it wid stab"... an sadly a so nuff man recount a sexual encounter with a woman. Some boys think the more disrespectful and condesending they are towards women, the more of a man they are. Ironically, if a man is a provider and love him, family an tek care of him woman he is touted as being a weak one-burner whose gal a run him head, yet if a man par wid a big a man from sunrise til sunset, sit dung an chat pure foolishness look gal all day an bruk like church mouse, then he is regarded as a galis or a thug which is revered in our culture. Someting very wrong wid dah picture deh. If a man opens doors an pulls out chairs, he is regarded as a soft, yet, when dem have dem 'hogganearin' attitude they get looked on as a gangster. Of course, a man must have a balance but there is no place for callous impertinent men in a civilised society.
Even though it hurts mi soul how some man treat women, I must lay the blame at the feet of the women who have cheapened and availed themselves to be treated like recepticles and toilets. Tru nuff a dem get away with disrespecting some women, they think it is the order of the day and all women a go put up wid dem rudiness.

A lie dem a tell caw mi nuh run disrespect joke - not in my breakfront! Women need to understand that a man will only treat you how you allow him to treat you and it is important from the foundation of the relationship (and it doesn't have to be intimate) boundaries that are established. Respect due everytime and should not be compromised. Even if a mistake is made no man is too big to apologise.
I encourage women to love and respect themselves and beseech the real men in the country to continue to demonstrate how men should operate. We need more honourable men on the front line to change the image of what qualifies one to be a man. We need our men to compliment and complement us and let us work together and respect each other. Ladies stand up fi what you believ in and nuh mek nuh man dash nutten down yuh throat.

thats why young oomen fe understand dat dem truly have to respect dem self, no gi whey de ting until u know de man, and even after u do, respect ur self always....or dawg we yammm ur suppah!!
