Clarification: some Jamaican men behave differently from some. The top class ones nobody on here would know about since they don't meet them and move in their circles..joke

I guess people have to speak to their own experiences... I would have to say that the majority of Jamaican men that I know and associate with are strong family men who, if they do have an indiscretion - it is the exception rather than the norm.

But perhaps that is because I was brought up in the church and many of my friends and family are still in the church.

I have 7 brothers and before dem married they did have ooman lef, right an centa - but all of them - once they chose a wife puudung dem behaviour there...
As I said - mi not swearing that they have been totally faithful 100% of the time (cyaan swear fe nuhbaddy) however - I know it is not a norm for them.

I def. don;t agree with the stereotype mi si in dis thread that all Ja. man view it as badge of honor fe have multiple women.

And hey good or bad, betta or worse I am ALWAYS, and will ALWAYS be JAMAICAN TO THE DEATH!

Not for nothing, but me couldn't see myself owning up to being anything but Jamaican and I left Jamaica as a toddler. Frankly, I pity those who do.

Yeah and good for you,but lots of people are prepared to own up to being a jamaican,and declare their jamaicaness to whoever will listen,...as long as it is as far away from jamaica as possible,they love to declare how jamaican they are from the relative safety of some foreign shore...........are they jamaican enough to go back and live there and accept jamaica for what it is warts and all.......? .....are they heck as like !

As for me,I am proud to be jamaican,..and just as proud to be british.

even when them cheating ... </div></div>In talking to men (not just in Jamaica) who will open up, since I have no vested interest in them, the overwhelming attitude is that &quot;cheating with respect&quot; (i.e. the what she don't know won't hurt her), is the prevailing attitude.

Had a similar conversation with a Swiss guy recently. He's been in Canada for over 30 years and considers himself Canadian. I have been in Canada only two thirds of that time and cannot bring myself to say the same as he and you do. But dat a jus me.

Me tell everybady an dem mumma say mi a Jamaican til de day mi dead. Couldan deh a Canada fi de nex 50 years, mi a go still tell people say mi a Jamaican (no offense to all the Canadians reading this)

Nex ting: because mi nuh live a yawd nuh mean say mi a sell out or some such. Mi nuh live a yawd cause it easier fi mi mek a living eena dis country whe mi refuse fi claim. A jus so it go.

Because mi nuh live a Jamaica nuh mean say mi rescind mi right fi call miself Jamaican til de day mi dead.

Cawse a one ting mi know, if Canada (or Britian which dem say mi have right to) decide fi kick mi out, mi will always, ALWAYSSSSS have mi likkle place pon de rock.

Gotta love dat.
