There is this guy at the job who is constantly talking about his wife and kids this and that. Just about everyone at the office is plain and simple sick of him gloating and salivating over the pics of her in his office etc.
Yesterday, we had to travel to a seminar together and he broke down and told me how miserable he really is and how he thinks he is going to ask for a divorce 'soon'.
He is 47 and she is younger I think but his kids are early teens.
According to him, he was planning to wait it out until his kids made it to high school (2 more years) but there is no way he can do it. He is not having an affair and does not plan to have one, but he feels trapped and cannot go on another day with her.
Today he came into my office and (thinking that we are buddies now
) all spastic talking about how this is the last straw. He is freaking out over how hard Bruce Wasserstein worked and how he just up and died just like that. He was going on and on about how he is going to start living the life he wants to and will start by asking for a divorce this weekend. 
My question is, why he gotta lie and pretend as if everything is honky dory? Why pretend when the whole thing is in shambles? Ain't it gonna be more difficult to explain how such a 'perfect' marriage exploded and leave him looking like bull bags? Do they really think they are fooling anyone?
