i dont think its being a single parent that is the issue it's the confidence in her being a single parent that attracts men sweetie. Men can smell desperation a mile off. No one is going to go on a lot and pick the car with &quot;buy me&quot; painted all ovr it, you are going to go straight for the car with no signs on it that's well maintained and sitting there lookn good whether u buy the car or not

Juss few weeks agguh, di same ooman that I met on the buss who told me about her two sons who are with white oomen...[an wondering wha shi did wrang in raising dem]the one working on his Ph.D, shacked up with a white lady with children, and the grief that she gave him because of the kids, well she finally had to leave his place with the kids...and yuh know wha shi duh?


The lady said that when she came to retrieve her stuff with her keys, shi turned on the gas and left the place with all the fumes escaping..[a ticking time bomb] ...fortunately he [har son] had to go back home for something and discovered her wikkidniss...and promptly changed the locks...mark yuh, is di chirrens dat got in the way of the relationship...<span style="font-weight: bold">[nat dat a ooman widdout chirrens cuddn' duh it tuh him tuh..]</span> shi wss always tekking up for dem...si dat in Jamaica tuh, where some stepsons tekking hup for their MOMS beat the step Dad, mek him run feem life...FACT.

well u nuh is the same way that i would have preferred not to marry a man with kids, (and baby mama drama) when i was in my 20s. (which is prob the age when most people get married- the first time, at least).

ETA : i think with age most people become more flexible with their list of &quot;requirements&quot;. Not that i would go looking for baby mama drama now

i dont think people become flexible with age I just think some relax their standards out of desperation others grow and learn to prioritize. What was fine for me at 20 or was taboo for me at 20 may be a no no for me at 30 or I cd consider it at 30.

for me a deal breaker was children - at 20 - NO KIDS!!!!!!!!!!

now, still NO KIDS!!!!!!!!! however, if u and the ex are civil and she's a sweetheart and u 2 just hooked up at the wrong time and place in your lives and are raising well adjusted kids then well that wd be if I was still on the market.

I believe britisha said we are responding based on our own experiences and she is correct in my case. I have no desire to go and dig up stats so I can only reply based on my experience and what I've seen around me.

Therefore in response to your response to Mrs A. No I do not agree with you. It is quite unfortunate that there are so many black single parents out there...I say parents because there are also many black single dads raising their children or grand-children. The fortunate thing in life is that not everyone is as biased as you and your friends are. There are still decent men and women out there who do not discriminate against a potential spouse because a child or children are involved.

When the stigma of an out of wedlock pregnancy went away the birth rate of single women increased because the fear of pregnancy was not as great as it was then.

Baby has been an accessory for teens seeking love that they are not receiving at home and is only after the baby is born that the reality really hits them.
