Doesnt there seem to be like a feeding frenzy to humiliate this guy? I dont recall there being such glee around getting the story out... refresh my memory please

The other person that got similar treatment was that Entertainment Tonight guy )PAt something?). When Michael Jordan's scandal broke, there seemed to be a little coverage, but then it was replaced with something else I guess.

The jokes and the NY POST cover of an internet fueled pic! This all seems like overkill. Why do you think?

definite overkill, but the media loves to tear down people who formerly projected a squeeky clean wholesome image...
this probably got the gossip wing more excited because it involved car accidents, swinging golf clubs, blond model wife, strippers with racy pictures, voice mails, texts, etc.

People have been feeling down in the dumps about the economy for a long while now. Tiger's escapade in the Escalade was an escape and gave people what they wanted, a chance to trash someone who is rich and famous thus making them feel a little better about their own lives.

The tabloids could not of dreamed of getting a better early Christmas gift. They should all send Tiger a thank you card.

tiger is a brand in the market. he is supposed to exemplify all that is good. that is the tiger woods brand. the reason that there is such a feeding frenzy is because of that good tiger brand. he's broken ground where no other black <span style="font-size: 8pt">(1)</span> man has before.

he's playing a white <span style="font-size: 8pt">(2)</span> game and he's busted the hinges off that as well.

people, whether we realize it or not take glee in seeing the mighty <span style="font-size: 8pt">(3)</span>[/size] fall.

Oh please. Don't you see all the people on here protesting that the women who behave like sluts have been called sluts. There has hardly been any bashing at all. I wonder what people think these women should be called...nuns!!

Tiger has been bashed a bit but not nearly as much as he deserves. He is one totally screwed up guy. That is apparent. He was so sweet when he was younger. I wonder when and how he got so messed up.

I agree there are some juicy bits, but with any celeb who 'falls' there's going to be some background drama, no? And yes Ja.com has made a great contribution at the trough! But I'm surprised that this guy is being villainized to this extent. Famous people have affairs all the time- maybe they're just better at paying the women off, so it doesnt get to a point where everybody is crawling out of the woodwork to rub his face in it.

I just dont remember there being such an undercurrent of venom with Spitzer and that other one, who were blatantly hypocritical. Maybe its easier to make things rhyme with Tiger? :
