What ! I mean really. Like I said, we need to start with the parents.

This situation reminds me of parents of overweight kids who complain that their children won't stop eating junk food. Then when you check it, is the same parents buying and bringing home gummi bears, cheetos, soda, potato chips, cookies and candy bars every week.

I don't get it.

I mean, I'm not saying that the children were right, but there is such as thing as using your judgment as an adult when you are deciding what and what not to bring into your house before you start jumping over the kids for the choices they make. </div></div>

Trust RollinCalf I do agree with you but the facts are that the error in judgement has already passed...so are you saying to let it slide this time an noh bother with punishment?

No man, I'm saying there's blame to go around the whole house here. Punish them f<span style="font-style: italic">or ordering a movie without permission</span>, whether porn or porn not, but also use it as a teachable moment to talk about about what porn represents and why you don't want it in the house.

<span style="text-decoration: underline">Then</span> go and educate yourself on how to program your cable box so that you need a code to order movies.

Mi seh parenting in 2009......is a whole diffrant someting.

Very true! The presumption that he could order a movie without getting parents permission should be addressed- or did he think no one would ever notice? in which case his intelligence is in question and thats another discussion

Of course the parents also have to consider that its normal for a teenaged boy to be curious- who of us didnt sneak over to a friend's home who had a naughty movie or mag, that was the talk of the group?!

So like Rolling said, the parents need to take precautions and also use it as another opportunity to discuss their own values...

RE the porn..I got curious at 12 and found my dad's stash of dirty mags an took dem to sch...got caught by a prefect (who lucky for me was European so she was very lenient and held dem fi mi til after sch )

But anyways I think it perfectly normal...all me'd a tell him is dat him allowance a get cut til di balance paid off...and also mek him know dat porn is an unhealthy view of sexual relations...but it good fi help bust a quick nut... my kid would be so embarrassed that they would never want to look at porn again...
