Relationship Advice

When yuh a go through things wid yuh SO, who do you turn to first for advice? Yuh close friend, yuh mother, yuh granny, yuh bredda or sister? Who gets the first call?

Me have one great aunt dat is always good fi sound advice. Is not all di time she get the first call, but when me call har she always give sound HONEST advice. She not doing too well of late and me start panic bout what me would do widout har advice.

So who yuh turn do? And do you follow dem advice when yuh done talk, or do just use them as a sounding board?

No one... I've learned over many years to keep things in and deal with it on my own. Not getting anyone involved. Plus I'm very uncomfortable telling anyone about my personal issues. People's opinion doesn't really help as in the end I deal with it in my own way.

seriously though I don't really go to anyone for relationship advice. especially not my girlfriends. And if I need a sounding board will just post it.

yet I am the one they all come to for advice.

I don't ask for advice, If is a likkle eediat incident mi wi talk to my one friend just to vent or sometimes mi keep it to myself.

The only person whose advice I will consider on serious issues is my eldest sister cause she usually mek sense...and she always have some likkle story fi go along wid whatever shi sayin. she is also the only person dat can tell mi tings bout miself in a way fi mi nuh get bex an trace dem bout it

it depends...on what kinda of advice mi seeking.

relationship wid di current mr ilp..if it serious..wi work it out. if is foofool tings mi might ask im sister (she usually agrees with me )

if is just tings in general..mi use to ask mi granny, but she dead ahn gawn now...

work tings..mi ask di current mr ilp.

ETA: most of the time...i usually work it out in my head/blow off steam (when I go running) and then &quot;bounce the idea&quot; off of di current mr ilp.

The person that I would seek advice from is no longer here. (((RIP MOM))) Always unbias even though I was her daughter.

When I just want to vent (which is rare) about my hubby I have two different girlfriends I will talk too. One will give it to me straight, the other one will agree with whatever I say

Ditto!

Usually if something needs to be addressed in the relationship - the SO is the first person I turn to. That is who I have to work with to get things resolved.

Except in some cases I need a sounding board to let off some steam and I tend to want that person to be someone I can trust to <span style="font-style: italic">listnen </span>and that's it.. Believe it or not that sometimes comes in the form of a &quot;stranger&quot;...when I say stranger I mean its someone I know but has no ties to my close friends or family. And in letting off steam I am honest but still reserve somethings that are personal.
