Stormmey all I can say is you found this out before you were legally bonded to him. It is you now who has to decide whether this is a good thing in terms of whether he can be a trusted partner in the future.

Let me tell you something about mother's .. Sometimes dem have dem ways but their instincts about a person is usually spot on. Doan ask mi wey dem get dat kina instincts from ..but please heed

i'm not a mother (yet) and i already have very strong insticts. mi fraid ah when mi tun smaddy muddah
i find that human beings have insticts, but most times when they get caught in things it is because they dismiss the alarms when they start to go off...
usually it is after they get clubed over the head with the facts of a situation...they then heed.

ILP, you know you asked me in a previous post if I didn't see any signs and I said no. Well, now....in this my quiet time and replaying everything over and over in my head yes, the signs were there I just never saw it or thought it was not that significant.

I am just now connecting the dots, racism raises its ugly head. Remarks like I hope when we have kids they all look caucasian was a warning bell that I never heeded we both bi-racial and we inherited the caucasian genes or look caucasian.

Dear God, I think this man wants nothing to do with that little girl because even though she is a replica of him, (facial features) her skin is dark he does not want a kid that looks black.

I went off on him one time about his racist remarks and he apologized. I guess he just kept those thoughts to himself after that and didn't utter them again around me.

And yes, he did go see the little girl when whe was a baby and stepped

at this point, stormmey, racism is the <span style="text-decoration: underline"><span style="font-weight: bold">least</span></span> of this man's issues. it is the least of yours...

the plethora of his issues, as it relates to you is what you need to address (in your mind/soul)...learn from and then move on.

We can only control our own selves and destiny's. Only God know how each of our stories is going to end. But we each know how it began (whether we acknowledge it/recognize it or not). It is up to each of us to choose for ourselves.

btw I do not get the correlation between having a kid in my frivolous twenties and losing respect and devotion. What does that mean

The info was 'hidden' because SO di not want to offend and thus lose the respect and devotion that was valued.

Yes, it was a less than honorable call but a hard one...so cuss him some <span style="font-style: italic">fabric</span>...<span style="font-size: 8pt">oops</span>.... and tell him awf...but find a way to forgive him.

Who knows what your misdeed(s) might be later on and wouldn't you value his understanding of the situation? and a dose of forgiveness?

But its not just that he had this child and never told her, he also abandon the child even after he found out it was his, what kind of person is that? Is not that he was secretly caring for his child and didn't know how to tell her, he denied her existence, he should be seeking forgiveness from the child and her mother not Stormmey....
