Feeling Annoyed

<span style="font-style: italic">okay, this is just to vent cause I work at home and have no one to b!tch to at the moment so I can get this off my chest</span>

So I wake up with a borderline migraine this morning I pop two pills and make my way to my desk, only to open up my email and have to read one from my cousin that got right under my skin.

He and his family live in London. And I have been trying for the past 3 months to contact his parents so I can go visit them out in Kent since I will be staying in the city.

Keep in mind that I saw his parents in Jamaica last summer and they insisted, insisted, insisted that I come visit them next year. I told them give me your phone #/email. They said dont worry let us take yours and we will stay in contact until you come.

Of course I havent heard from them. So I facebooked my cousin R - their son - and asked him nuff times to pass on the message that I am coming. I gave dates of stay, my emial address and my cell # in London.

I dont hear from them....

So I sent an FB message a few days back saying that I am disowning his parents since I cant hear from them I want to travel to a couple other spots in Europe but I need to plan so I dont over extend myself or run out of time. So I explained that.

Well......

I get back this pissy email about if I am going to disown his parents then I better disown him too and how he doesnt understand my thinking. Who says I cant stay with them, blah blah blah.....

I am like W T F?????

How the bloody hell am I going to say with all seriousness that I would disown my family members - the ones I actually like - over something so little??? And having a LOL after each sentence doesnt give someone a clue that it is just a joke I am running??

So I told him I was kidding and that I cant believe he would carry on like so. He isnt the only blastid person on earth who loves his parents Then I said I am annoyed now for real - no joke - so forget that said a word to him about anything

Now that I think about it more I am more p!ssed off

It is always family members who insist that we stay in contact and that family is sooooooo important to them, that when you say, &quot;hey, why cant I hear from you?&quot; they get p!ssy that you point this out

Dont bother telling me how it is soooo important that we stay in contact then make no bloody effort when the time comes and then cry about it when I dont bother calling when I am in the vicinity...which is exactly what I am doing.

mek dem gwey if him couldn't tell thats a joke especially when you try contact dem so many times sorry to say yu related to some EEEDIAT people, so if dem give you the info to visit them do so or yu a go hear say you malice dem and what was said in jest will become real.

amen seemiyah. You phrased it well cause my head seriously hurts more right now cause I go so upset with the foolishness.

I mean, I have gone out of my way trying to stay in contact with them and then I get this piece of nonsense coming my way. And you know they are gonna be upset when they hear I am in London and dont come check for them. I have other relatives that I dont want to see when I am there and they are on that list now. Too bad. I've made up my mind that I will not put myself out for others who wont do it for me. feh

that is the part I cant figure out Ms Exced. He doesnt normally stay this way - well that is my impression of him.

He really loves his parents - so do I for that matter - but it seems if u crack any kind of joke he goes into this overprotective mode that I find annoying. This probably doesnt make sense to anyone but that is what my 6th sense says about this all...rational or not.

But none of the above changes the fact that for all my emails to him over the months he either forget to tell them or doesnt get them to contact me either. How many times can I ask what is their number or email before I feel silly asking??

And again, it was <span style="font-weight: bold">THEIR </span>insistence that I visit them.

if you did read the my <span style="font-weight: bold">longwinded</span> post u would know that said that cause I have been trying to contact his parents (through him) for MONTHS and MONTHS. After they insisted I stay in touch....

and the &quot;LOL&quot; after each sentence to him indicates a joke already as far as I am concerned.

I already told him I was kidding but now I am upset cause he was really <span style="font-weight: bold">nasty </span>in his reply. Took me completely off guard. So it is dropped on my side. Gonna go for a month and just deal with who I want to deal with.

well Nylah my take on it is that from you in Jamaica and you ask them for their phone number/email and they did not give it to you but took your instead and you have sent countless messages to them and no response so clearly they dont want you to visit them...people like that you can do without for that matter.....dem mus tink sey u a go beg dem sittn a pity dem noh kno sey you is a very independent person.
