So mi have one friend whe mi will call Ann whe a look afta ar madda who mi will call Barbara whe have a next daughter we will call Carol...
Carol move outa her parents house when she was 16. Carol and her madda neva get along and even worse after Carols parents divorced. Carol fawda move back to him home country, get sick and dead. Carol go spread rumour seh a har madda Barbara kill ar father when Barbara neva in the country when smaddy give one injection to the fadda whe kill im off. Carol also had the mother banned from seeing the father in the hospital one month b4 im ded.
Long story short from the time Carol deh 16 she tell ar madda fi GDAB and have very little business wid ar .
When the madda did get sick some years ago and needed a transplant the madda did need $2000 to up the insurance to a plan that would cover the transplant. Carol neva gave towards the $2000 cause she did 'just file fi ar Henglish husband and did pay $4500 and neva have even a $100 to spare'. Carol did tell her father (who was alive at the time) to not help her mother either.
Carol live about 10 mins ride from her mother and would neva stop by, send a card, plow snow or a ting fi ar madda
Bout 18 months ago de hospital did try reach the mother (Barbara)regarding some bloodwork.. Ann was out of the country so dem try all contacts which include Carol. carol was the only one whe dd get the message and neva pass it on to anyone. Long story short had Barbara received the message she would not be dying now.
When Barbara was told a year ago to get her affairs in order she updated her will to explicitly give Cathy $1 and stated why.
During all the years, Ann was the one who took care of her mother driving over an hour one way daily to take her mother to chemo. Always checked in on her, and is close to her mother. Ann would call Carol periodically to update Cathy on Barbara's condition and Carol would repeatedly say 'So what'
Barbara is now at the end stage of life
and has moved in with Ann & her family so she can be with them. A nurse comes daily to help out. Carol has called her mother to ask about the antiques in the house, to ask about stuff (basically a assess the value of ded leff). Barbara has told Carol no call ar , no badda ar. Carol call Ann and seh Ann a deny Carol access to her mother and how she gwine contest the will& dem ting dere. Mind you Carol has YET to SEE Barbara either in the hospital, at Barbara's house much less at Ann's home.
Carol has gone as far to say that Barbara should be buried in her home country with her father (whose grave is not being looked after despite Carol's frequent trips to the home country). Barbara has expressly stated that she wishes to be cremated. Carol said she will protest this.
How would you deal with Carol?
