quick question

If someone who is very close to you thinly accused you of something of which you have not done what is the better approach to the issue?

1. Say I did not do it and tell them to go do a thorough investigation and come back to you with an apology

2. Say I did not do it and fight for your integrity down to the last drop

3. Just tell the someone couple badwud and tell them fi nuh talk to you again because they are too quick to blame and it shows a lack of trust.

4. Bawl and bawl and bawl and bawl and bawl and bawl and bawl more and more as it is very hurtful to be accused of something which yu nuh know bout

5. Just don't respond to the veiled accusation and remove the person's name, phone number from your rolodex.

perhaps they felt a need to voice a suspicion. fair enough. but when you tell them seh no was not u, then a true friend would give benefit of the doubt and leave it alone.

If they don't, them is not as 'close' as u think they are.

really, if them is that 'close' to u, them shoulda know well enough to know seh u would not do whatever it is in the first place.

#3, den the latter part of #5. I hate, hate, hate when ppl tell lie pan mi, so derefore mi react very out-a-orda when/if it happen.

Having said that, nobaddy weh mi consider <span style="font-weight: bold">friend </span> wouldn approach mi dem kinda way deh.

I can't describe you how disappointed I am.... it mek mi bawl. seriously. This is someone whom I care, trust(ed) had lots of respect for..... It has been on my mind so much it has affected all mi running so you must know.

My approach would be more direct. I would say to this friend, &quot;Did you mean to say or imply that I _________? If not, I interpreted this way ______&quot;

I want to make sure that my suspiscion is correct and, as this is a close friend, I would offer them the benefit of the doubt.

I would tell them you are disappointed in them for accusing you. Tell them you are sorry they feel that way about you (this will show that you are not taking ownership of their accusations).

I also agree that this person is probably friendly with you at times but if it were me I wouldn't consider them to be a &quot;true&quot; friend any longer.

It hard fi tek one approach depending on the circumstance. Cause sometimes is nat di person fault fi accuse yuh ..sometime dem get it fram &quot;hear sey&quot; and jus want to verify. I actaully respect that. But if the accusation persist because you have an alterior motive ..den its time to move on.
