when mi was pregnant mi almost vomit few times wid one teacher in di office. im love chat bout im patchouli oil weh im get. "it's great because it's natural" im would live fi tell people

I have a close relative who wears too much fragrance. And yes, I do believe something is wrong with her sniffer because it's like she can't smell it.

I do like fragrance very much, but I prefer it subtle.

The worst offenders in my opinion are
1. Stormmey1's "men that took a bath in the after shave or cologne trying to pick u up".
2. Jazz's "that special musty smell that can only come from flinging on perfume on your unwashed body".

Last year while in the hospital after an operation, a doctor came in at 7AM reeking of cologne. I promptly threw up in front of him. What really frosted me was they took away my solid foods for the day. I was fine before he came in.

after being exposed to a scent over an extended period of time, the brain ignores it. that's why ppl who wear scent after a while don't smell it on themselves.

that's one of the first things mi learn when mi come a canada, in grade eight or nine gym class. the experiment to prove this was quite interesting.

But at some point, before the desensitizing, they must be aware that the scent is just too much, no? For how long does one have to be exposed to that level of smell/scent/assault of the olfactory senses before one becomes immune or unaware?

Nedda ting, sometimes your scent, I find, will 'bounce' off of other people. Like you'll be wearing a touch of perfume, don't really smell it, until some one else comes close. Then you get a whiff of it.

So fi all de people dem who dunk dem self in perfume/cologne/tylit wata, dem nuh muss can tell say dem have awn too much when dem come roun adda people? De scent bouncing back and all...

Not to mention everyone being suddenly bleary eyed, gasping for breath and reaching for their gas-masks...
